Karen Jakobovits, Psy.D. has her doctorate in clinical
psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, a nationally-accredited
school located in San Francisco, California. Her prior educational background
includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley
and a master’s degree from the University of San Francisco. Dr. Karen
did her internship training in clinical psychology at the University of California,
Davis, Medical Center, and completed her postdoctoral training
under the supervision of Dr. Kathi Jones-Lorenz.
Dr. Karen currently offers therapy for adolescents, adults,
and couples. She has assisted clients facing a wide variety of challenges,
including depression, anxiety, loss, shyness, relational difficulties, and
life transitions. Dr. Karen believes in a collaborative, supportive approach
to the therapeutic process, which builds upon a client’s personal strengths,
resiliency, and inner wisdom.
Dr. Karen is a member of the American Psychological Association
and the Institute of Noetic Sciences.
